The HTC One Mini 2 is official

In London today at a press event HTC have officially announced the HTC One Mini 2. As you would expect the 4.5-inch Mini 2 is just a scaled down version of the current M8 flagship device. The Mini 2 looks and feels great and will be perfect for those who don’t want to spend the premium to purchase the M8.

As you can see from the picture above the HTC One Mini 2 features only one camera unlike its big brother and it will record Zoe’s and stitch video highlights together to create memorable experience’s. One thing worth noting is the Mini 2 features a 13 megapixel camera unlike the M8’s 4 “ultrapixels.” Other features include the same 5 megapixel front facing camera and a very toned down screen at only 540 by 960 pixels, this is as low as HTC could have gone so the screen is a bit dissapointing.

The phone is running Android 4.4.2 with Sense 6, just like its big brother. Powering the Mini 3 is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400 processor and 1GB of RAM.

The HTC One Mini 2 comes in Gunmetal Gray, Glacial Silver and Amber Gold and will be available in Europe, the Middle East and Asia in June. We will Abe bringing you a full review on the device so stay tuned.
