The New Evernote 5 for Windows Desktop Beta Now Available

Hot on the heels of Evernote’s iOS release comes news that they have released a beta version for Windows Desktop v5. For those brave enough to venture into the beta waters, Evernote 5 offers several improvements over its predecessor. Namely, the interface is fresher and more modern, and new search and discovery tools have been added to help you find those hastily scribbled notes that much faster. As ever with beta software, Evernote warns that data loss might be a possibility and that certain key features like Reminders have yet to be implemented. But if you’re a Windows fiend who just can’t wait to see what’s new with Evernote, head on over to the source, or just have a wee look at the video below. Download link, hit the windows icon.

Our Evernote for Windows team has been hard at work for much of the past year building a completely new Evernote experience. We rethought and redesigned everything to make the app easier to use, more flexible, and more beautiful than ever.

We’re excited to give you a preview of Evernote 5 for Windows Desktop.
There are over a hundred improvements and enhancements throughout the app. We’ve updated the interface to not only look more modern, but also let you access the things you want more easily. We’ve added new search and discovery functions to intelligently help you find what you’re looking for, and sometimes surface relevant information before you even think to look. Evernote Blog
