Three UK launch new 8GB plan plus updates some current plans

Three_SignYesterday Three UK put out a press release but not to all media members it seems. They did put it on their media centre site but didn’t past it on to the media in the normal way by sending out emails. Three UK recently changed to a new PR company to handle press releases so it looks like something went wrong between to two.

Three UK started on a new round of price plans with the demise of the very popular One plans. Three UK customers with All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) 4GB data plans will now get the 8GB although we’re not sure if this includes tethering or not.

What is also unclear is whether current customers will automatically receive the 8GB or if they will have to wait until their next upgrade is due.

Tom Malleschitz, Chief Marketing Officer at Three, said:

“Customers are asking us for more variety in the data allowances on offer and we’ve listened to their feedback and introduced this new allowance.

“Our customers love using the internet on their devices and now they have even more choice of plans to enjoy browsing the web on our reliable network, with all the added benefits that Three offers such as Feel at Home.”
