ThreeUK comes out in support of Ofcom’s fixed pricing ruling

Yesterday we told you about Ofcom’s fixed contract price ruling that came into effect yesterday.
Today one of the main networks ThreeUK have issued a statement saying
Three will be enforcing the ruling for its customers, protecting them from price changes in their contracts.
The official statement said:

“Your fixed monthly recurring fee from Three will not go up in the minimum term of your contract. We support Ofcom’s approach to fixing the price for pay monthly contracts for their duration. We think it’s only fair that customers should have clarity around costs when they sign up to a contract.”

As far as we’re concerned this is not only a good move but also a bold move by ThreeUK. We now wait to see what the other networks do. We already know that O2 are rewriting their consumer contracts which will allow O2 to increase your rate if needed.
