Turning Blinkfeed off in HTC’s Sense 5.5

Blinkfeed2Yes we know that lots of users don’t use or like Blinkfeed but I find it good to have as it doesn’t detract from my everyday use of the HTC One experience, as I set my Homescreen to screen two meaning that to see blinkfeed I had to swipe to the page one.

When Sense 5 came out, HTC bought Blinkfeed a  newsreader that you could set to your favourite sources like, Twitter, Facebook, BBC News and numerous other sites.

With Sense 5.5 you can now turn-off Blinkfeed quite easily.

  1. From the home screen, pinch your fingers together. That’ll open up the home screen overview.
  2. Tap the BlinkFeed On/Off button in the top left.

As I said I like having BlinkFeed around – and not just because you can get all the latest Mobile news on it. But those of you who just don’t want it, you now have the option to make BlinkFeed disappear altogether.
