UK could have an eSports arena home next year thanks to Gfinity

ThatWasG3-2The UK will soon have its own eSports arena thanks to Gfinity, a multi-player games league organiser. They are looking at a permanent venue having held a multi competition at London’s 2012 Olympics venue Copper Box arena.

Whether Gfinity choose to build a new venue or refurbish an existing building, we’ll just have to wait and see.

Gfinity will be hosting around 30 tournaments next year starting in March and have seating etc for approximately 500 spectators. They hope to include games like Call of Duty and Halo, finishing with an “Gfinity Championship Final.” at the end of the season in September.

Gfinity held a eSports event called G3 at London’s Copper Box Arena this summer which had over 4000 spectators and over 140 competitors.
