UK Judge Leaks Possible Date of HTC’s Next Flagship Device

During the ruling of the HTC One mini ban that we told you about yesterday, It seems that Judge Richard Arnold leaked out that “HTC is close to launching the successor flagship model to the HTC One.” Judge Arnold goes on to explain that Nokia said that the Taiwanese firm is planning to launch its One follow-up in early 2014, possibly as early as February. HTC did nothing to argue against this claim.

Many manufacturers in the mobile world have moved to a yearly update of their flagship devices, and of course the HTC One did hit the market back in February, therefore it wouldn’t be a shock to see the next “Flagship” device see the light of day in early 2014. With all things as far as mobile manufacturers are concerned the details provided by today’s ruling don’t really guarantee  anything. It would be easy for HTC to change the launch from February / March debut for its next flagship but, we doubt it.

The one big reason that they don’t like revealing the date is that it could potentially result in sales of the present flagship device slowing down as customers look to see the new flagship or see the price of the present one being reduced.
