VLC for Windows Phone throws in another beta update

VLC-1VLC have been pushing out updates like they were on a conveyor belt. Even yesterday’s update for the VLC media player for Windows Phone did not address the crashing bug introduced with the previous update.

Now the team seem to have gotten rid of the festive season and cleared their heads as the 3rd  update albeit beta has been  certified in record time, appears to have squashed the bugs.
Now it’s available to download.

VLC say on the download page:

VLC media player is a portable, free and open-source, cross-platform media player and streaming media server written by the VideoLAN project.
VLC media player supports most audio and video compression formats, files and streaming protocols.
This version is the first beta of the port of VLC media player to the Windows Phone platform.
This is the first beta version of the port to Windows Phone.

The new version (2015.109.1912.4035) is working well so far in our testing, with album art and background audio also working.

Download it below from Windows Phone Store for free.
