Windows 10 is clearly a win for Microsoft this year. Not only is it a much more polished OS, more familiar and with many actually useful features that don’t confuse people when trying to use them, as Windows 8 did. Only 24 hours after the Windows 10 final update started rolling out for everybody, 14 million devices already have it installed.

Yusuf Mehdi, Corporate Vice President of Windows and Devices, wrote on the Windows Blog, “It has been an incredible 24 hours for Windows and our fans. We’re humbled and grateful to see the response to Windows 10. We have seen unprecedented demand for Windows 10, with reviews and customer feedback overwhelmingly positive around the globe. We are doing everything we can to upgrade the world to Windows 10 as quickly as possible over the coming days and weeks ahead.”

Windows 10 made its public debut on July 29 in 190 countries around the globe as the first free Windows upgrade (that is, if you upgrade from Windows 7 or 8). Microsoft has been rolling out the free update in phases so that everyone can have a fast and smooth experience while upgrading. The number of installs will continue to grow by the hour as the company continues to roll out the update to more Windows users.

So have you already upgraded to Windows 10? If you have, do you like it? If not, why haven’t you?

I’ve liked it quite a lot. It’s a lot easier to use than Windows 8 but has maintained a lot of cool features. I haven’t used it a lot but I’m quite satisfied.
