Windows Phone Chromecast apps – a look at Three of them

Windows-Phone-square-logo With Chromecast dongles hitting lows of £18 these last few days they make for a pretty compelling video streamer, if of course you had an app for them. Google should of course,  produce a Windows Phone app, but in the mean time at least 3 Windows Phone developers have stepped into the breach. Gerudo Tech have posted a video looking at 3 Windows Phone contenders below.

1) Tube Cast:

The first Windows Phone app (not to be confused with the last app of the same name) which let you cast YouTube videos to the dongle.  It has never been developed beyond version 1.0, but still does an adequate if basic job. Find it here.

2) Cloud for Chromecast: 

Cloud for Chromecast Chromecast allows you to see all of your content on OneDrive from your Windows Phone directly on Chromecast.
Start the app, connect your Chromecast and sees all your content directly on your TV.

This Lite version allows you to view Videos, Photos and Music. You can select your files and watch them directly on the tv. No time limitation, you can pause or stop the playback.

Very soon, the PRO version that allow you to see the contents on Dropbox, and GoogleDrive OneDrive directly to the TV via Chromecast, and manage the progress, reboot, volume management, and many other things that up to now were. Find it here.

3) Tubecast:

  1. Youtube. Watch, cast and Chromecast and AirPlay. Use Tubecast as an incredible Youtube client and cast Youtube videos on your Smart TV, Chromecast, DLNA devices, Xbox & Xbox One. The pro app costs £1.49 and well worth it but, you can try it first.Features :
