Windows Store now has 100,000 published apps

Microsoft announced last week that there Windows Store was about to reach the 100k app milestone and now it has let everyone know via Twitter that this is now a reality. This may not be the largest number of applications when you look at Android and iOS but it has managed to reach the milestone faster than any of it’s competitors. It has taken only 8 months to hit this target while it took Apple about 18 months. With an app store growing at a healthy rate and Windows 8.1 not long away all seems good over at Microsoft.
