The Xbox One controller in my opinion is one of the best out there and I’m certainly not the only one with that opinion. One thing that annoyed me and many others was the fact that they decided not to include a headphone port and instead made users buy an adaptor, which itself also wasn’t without problems. So with that in mind Microsoft has decided that they are going to release a refreshed Xbox One controller this June that features a built in 3.5mm headphone port.
It may not be the greatest news if you have already splurged cash on the adaptor but the news which arrives from Microsoft’s own support site says the port will feature on “controllers released after June 2015.” The port that can be seen as number 16 on the diagram will allow users to utilize “compatible” devices, the term compatible will likely be referring to the way manufacturers order their conductors in their jacks as some feel the need to be different.
So is this good news or just Microsoft wanting more money? Let me know your thoughts below.
