You can now install Google Play on your Amazon Fire Phone

image

I really like the Amazon Fire Phone, it has decent enough specs and Fire OS is very efficient. The annoying parts for me is the fact that the device is locked to using Amazon’s App Store meaning I can’t use all the apps I have purchased on my Android device, until now.

The awesome folks over at XDA forums have turned the Fire Phone into a more desirable device by given users the ability to install Google’s Play Store without rooting their device. Of course this is an unofficial method so if you break anything trying it then it’s on you. The method seems to be working perfect on devices running Fire OS version 3.6.8. The video below will tell you everything you need to know.
