Google announced the Android M developer preview today at Google I/O. That update is live on the Android Developer blog right now. Android M is focused on squashing bugs and making the OS smoother and more secure.
Supported devices include the Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 9, and Nexus Player. If you have one of those and you are feeling brave, you can download the update from the Android Developer blog here.
