BlackBerry OS Shows OTA for Android Apps

We reported yesterday that rumours of BlackBerry OS update would allow Android apps on Google Play seems to have brough fruishion.  BerryInsider has leaked OS  for the Q series Q5 and Q10. Also included is the Z10 but, only the STL100-1 model.

More devices will be added once the radios are stable. Moving onto the changelog, there seems to be what amounts to a crazy situation. The Android runtime is unlocked! This means you can install APK’s directly onto the device without APK to BAR conversion.
Following on the changelog shows vast improvements:

  • Customizable quick settings
  • group contacts
  • Quick speed dial on Q10
  • Music UI changes
  • Call dialer changes
  • BBM – vibrate on ping, new emoticons
  • white balance adjuster
  • picture lock password
  • IBM notes traveler in accounts settings
  • full device monitor
  • new charge icon
  • custom contact notifications
  • wolfram alpha commands
  • battery percentage in peak
  • hub pinch gesture works
  • Bonus: instagram video upload works, BlackBerry 10 keyboard works without mods
