Google announced Project Brillo at , the “underlying operating system for the internet of things.” It’s a big first step for Google to get into people’s home on a bigger level than just the Nest team. Brillo is built on Android, but isn’t full blown Android. Much like Android Wear, Brillo is it’s own OS. It will run on very low-power devices and has something called Weave built in. Weave will allow all of your devices to talk to each other and pass information.
