Red Dead Redemption out now for Xbox One via backwards compatible

Red Dead Redemption is now playable on the Xbox One, Red Dead Redemption’s availability on Xbox One through its Xbox 360 backwards compatibility feature has been a long time coming. The game suddenly became available earlier this year, although Microsoft took it down, saying it was released “in error.”

Then, fans of the western third-person shooter were surprised to hear not only was the game’s support on the Xbox One coming, but it would be made available later this week. As a result, sales of the game spiked on Amazon, showing fans of the game were preparing for the big day when they could play the game on their Xbox One.

To make today’s news even more sweet, all of Red Dead Redemption’s multiplayer DLC is now currently free on the Xbox Marketplace.
