Twitter makes some changes

Have you been using twitter on the web? If so, have you noticed a difference? You may have noticed that twitter no longer displays your wallpaper background in your timeline, notifications page, and profile page.

This is what Twitter had to say…

We’re removing background images from the home and notifications timelines on web for all users. Now, background images are only available where logged-in users will see them publicly (Tweet pages, list pages and collections pages). You can find help center content about customizing your design and where it’s visible on Twitter here.

When news broke out on Monday, users were furious and they didn’t hold back. “twitter took away my lisa frank sticker background how am I supposed to live like this,” says Megan Brennan (twitter user).  Now that you don’t have a background, you’re stuck with white. Excuse while I go throw up now. I wonder let twitter to make this decision.

What do you guys think of this? Do you miss your background?
